Product review by Sharon @ all natural health-

'Tis the season for "doing".  The beautiful weather just makes you gravitate to the outdoors where those chores await you.  For me it's the gardening.  Sure I start off with the gloves on.  But it never fails, eventually the gloves somehow mysteriously come off at some point.  I'm not even sure what point that is.  Maybe it's to upright a tiny seedling, or to feel through the dirt for objects that will get in the way of the roots.  But somehow, I don't manage to get the gloves back on before my hands have done ten other chores that leave them feeling rough, dry, and abused.  This will happen almost daily, until some point when I say, "Eeek, my hands need major help... now!"

Our Spotlight this month is for all of us gardeners that fall prey to this 'forgetting the gloves" syndrome', and anyone else that uses their hands in the name of labor.  Aptly named, Working For A Living Balm from our friends at Nature's Infusions, this rich gel-type balm is made from all-natural ingredients such as Olive Oil, Beeswax and Palm Butter, mixed with healing herbs like Comfrey Root and Calendula Flowers.  This is an old-fashioned product that should never go out of style.

It's different than a cream or lotion in that it is used as a treatment.  You'll need to set aside some 'hands free' time, like watching T.V. or just sitting and gazing at nature.  Basically, you'll want to scoop about a half teaspoon or so of this luscious earthy-smelling balm out of the tin, and massage your hands, top and bottom.  It can be kind of a Zen-type of experience if you let it.  I'm sure that some will enjoy using this as an overnight glove treatment.  I just prefer the 20-30 minute 'Zen Massage' way (any excuse to relax a bit).  You'll find that most of it will soak into your skin, and your hands will feel much softer and smoother.  If there is any excess, just blot with a towel.

This is a nice old-fashioned remedy, for an old-fashioned problem that has plagued mankind (and womankind) for a very long time.  All-natural ingredients are of course my first choice for any kind of skincare treatment, and this one's no exception.  Get your Working For A Living Balm today, so that it's ready for your hardworking hands when they need that extra help.  Make sure to check out Nature's Infusions' treatment for the feet too!
